EIF is Now Open for 2012 Applications

The Auckland Council Environmental Initiatives Fund (EIF) is open for 2012 applications. The fund gives grants of up to $15,000 to support individuals and groups in their efforts to improve and care for the region’s natural, cultural and physical environments. Deadine is 4pm Thursday 27 September 2012. Note that the priority within the 'Caring for People' Funding Outcome is Kaitiakitanga projects. This is specifically targeted at tangata whenua groups undertaking projects that contribute to their role as kaitiaki on Maori freehold land or areas within their tribal boundaries.

August 15, 2012 - September 8, 2012 IAMINFAMOUS is the title of Robert Jahnke’s exhibition at Bath Street Gallery in Parnell, and alludes to his installation at the 2011 Maori Art Market at Pakata Museum in Porirua. Here, one of Michael Parekowhai’s Brother Grimm (2009) American Indian figures was juxtaposed with Jahnke’s Il Michael the genuine article.
