Inc is a Maori community organisation that aims to increase the wellbeing of vulnerable & disadvantaged communites through the provision of community cultural activities as promotion, prevention & early intervention services. Te Kohanga is looking for a pro bono registered architect to provide assistance with the renovation of their community centre.

The Auckland Council Environmental Initiatives Fund (EIF) is open for 2012 applications. The fund gives grants of up to $15,000 to support individuals and groups in their efforts to improve and care for the region’s natural, cultural and physical environments. Deadine is 4pm Thursday 27 September 2012. Note that the priority within the 'Caring for People' Funding Outcome is Kaitiakitanga projects. This is specifically targeted at tangata whenua groups undertaking projects that contribute to their role as kaitiaki on Maori freehold land or areas within their tribal boundaries.

Here, one of Michael Parekowhai’s Brother Grimm (2009) American Indian figures was juxtaposed with Jahnke’s Il Michael the genuine article.
